1. I noticed that only one of webcam and speaker would work, unplugging the webcam activates the speaker and vice versa. I tried to solve this by adding dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host on useroverride.txt but it doesn't seem to solve it. It did solve the issue on konstakang lineage 23.
2. Microphone from c270 doesn't work, but the webcam works, tested this when camera is working by installing audio from audio recorder app, but when played no audio came out.

Edit : first issue can be solved by adding dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host on config.txt instead, but mic issue still persists

I noticed there seems to be no overlay in config.txt that is fan/temperature related.

Hello together,

i am a noob. I managed already to install emteria as android on my raspberry 4b. Then i installed the gx-android-display.apk software to have control over my victron cerbo gx stuff. I want the raspberry and the 7inch touch screen in my boat. I have the multiplus and a batterie. But i have managed to install everythimng on the raspberry so far, i also use the kiosk mode, that if i start the raspberry always new, the display GX software runs automatically. Well done so far.

But, as the raspberry always dont get power when i leave the boat, then 3 days later come back, i have to switch on main power also. That means the raspberry powers on and always comes this menu item "Modify system settings", "allow modifying system settings" where i have to select it. Then i have to acknowledge, before the soft starts. I want this to be removed, so the victron software starts with "power on" all the way through.....

Does this make sense what i said?? lol

Can someone help, to remove this menu ?

Thank you very much

Best wishes

I just installed Emteria (Android 14, RPi 4, 4GB RAM). I am really liking it so far. I just need to install Gapps to make it perfect.
But on Reboot all I get it "No Command" screen and after a few minutes, it simply reboots without going to recovery mode.

On the second one I have a Raspberry pi 5 with Emteria version 15.4.0

The Raspberry 4 is always Online on the Emteria Panel while the Raspberry 5 stay online only for the first 20/50 minutes after it is turned on. After this time it goes Offline on Emteria Panel.

Both devices have the MDM flag active.

When I load MDM Settings App with the Raspberry pi 5 the device reconnects to the MDM and goes back online.

I also connected the Raspberry pi 5 to two different internet lines (ADSL and SIM) with the same result.

I’m developing a POS solution that relies on software from a PSP (Payment System Provider). The problem is that when the app runs for the first time, it prompts the user to grant permission for using a USB PIN pad. This user interaction is not intended.

Is there a way, through MDM, to pre-grant this app permission to access USB devices automatically?

Hi, I'm asking if there is a method to set the display resolution to a fixed value (i.e. 1080p60) regardless the attached monitor for a RPi 3B(+)/4. The expected behavior should be:
1. I connect a display that is able to works at 1080p60 => OK;
2. I connect a display that is unable to works at 1080p60 => anything but the important thing is that the Emteria resolution stuck at 1080p60.

I try to arrange the config.txt and the cmdline.txt in the BOOT partition but it seems to me that it works only in the early phases of the loading process, after follows the display resolution. The issue arises if I connect a display that hasn't the 1080p60 resolution available: the RPi arranges the HDMI resolution to one of the available res for the monitor and, if I connect a 1080p60 capable monitor after, the requested resolution in the Emteria settings remains at the older one. I have an app that works properly ONLY at 1080p60 so I need that Emteria res remains to 1080p60 forever.
Thanks Andrea.

Size1920 x 1080
Real size1920 x 1080
Rotation0
Density213

That's the correct resolution. The Raspberry Pi Settings app on the device confirms the same - requested resolution 1920x1080@60, current resolution 1920x1080.

However when I open either Cromite or Firefox the browser looks like it has been zoomed in. The resolution they are using is 1440 x 810, according to a resolution test site. It means I can't fit enough detail on - the pages I need to use have been designed for 1920 x 1080. The browser zoom lets me zoom in further but not out. Does anyone know how to get a browser to run at the full resolution?

Thanks,
I have also tried connecting 2 different bluetooth headsets to the device and neither picks up the sound
Is this a known bug? I thought sound was going to be the least of my worries?
Any help would be appreciated

I enabled the usb debugging option in developer options, but the device is not visible after running the
adb devices
command. For comparison, I do the same on the
LineageOS 18.1 - KonstaKANG (Android 11)
on my RPI 4 B and it works there without a problem.

My device is:

Raspberry Pi 4 with 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SD Card

Emteria Android 14 (I also tried Emteria Android 13)

I could perform the first step in the instruction by opening the SD Card on my Windows 11 PC, which opened the boot folder, to extend the cmdline.txt at the boot partition. Other partitions are not readable on this Windows 11 PC.

But when I insert the SD Card back into the Raspberry Pi 4 and boot it up (step 3), I am unable to write to the /odm/lib64/hw folder via 'adb push' (step 4) because /odm is not writable.

'adb root' followed by 'adb remount' don't work with Emteria Android because adb complaints about not being able to run root on production builds.

I can only connect to Raspberry Pi via adb WiFi, because it looks like connecting over adb USB is not supported on Raspberry Pi at all.

Therefore, either the instruction page does not mention what Android versions or builds such an approach works, or am I missing something in how to write to the read-only odm partition?

Thank you very much in advance for any advice.

Hi, I'm a newbie of the Emteria OS and I'm trying to push out an app developed in MS MAUI using a RPi4 2GB. The Emteria OS I choose is the v13.5 because it seems a good balance between features and performances. The features I'm trying to set are: SSH server for local management, MDM and VNC server for remote management, screen's keep awake, autostart of my app and kiosk mode. The issue arises when I try to enable/disable the kiosk mode: if it is on and the autostart of my app is properly configured, across a reboot I see the kiosk mode but it not start the app; if I try to disable the kiosk mode, it remains always on across reboots too. This happens despite the fact that I disable it via the Emteria settings or via the MDM/dashboard. Any suggestion? I can't push out devices if these features don't work as expected.
Thanks for any suggestion, Andrea.

I have tried my best to read all the support here first before posting, but I am a bit stumped. I have created a script named "gpio", and for the sake of sanity it currently contains only the example code from the site. I have placed it in /data/init.d/, set root:system as the chown, set chmod to 0755, and used dos2unix to ensure correct line endings. I have tried it with and without an extra line to write to the downloads folder to confirm loading. But no matter what I do the script will not run at startup.

I see a handful of the guides here are a bit older, is there any extra steps I am missing for Android 14? Are there any logs where I can see what is happening? Thanks!

On this version su has been replaced by sushell. And sure enough, I can get root shell from adb or SSH.

But how can standard apps (not ones I've built), gain root access?
I'm thinking of Tasker, file managers, Aurora etc. It seems like they think they don't have root access, I guess these apps are looking for "su" and can't find it?

There is some discussion of a root option under developer options (which I can't see).

Actually (as a BTW) I can't see the terminal under developer options either.

I was thinking I might have to symlink sushell to su but the correct way would be helpful.

I'm writing an app using flutter that need video playback which on version 11.11 does not work. Videos does not start on RPI4, when i tried it on other android devices problem never occurred so i think it must be something on the system level.

Since I started using the Raspberry Pi installer instead of the Emteria installer universal licenses haven't been working for me. I'm guessing this is because I'm no longer installing a provisioned Emteria image?
Is there a way to make universal licenses work with the Raspberry Pi installer? It would save me a lot of time and hassle.

Emteria version 13.3.0
Android version 13
Android timestamp 1675944107

On a Raspberry Pi 4

I have setup the necessary keys as described here https://emteria.com/kb/configure-ssh-server although I wasn't able to run adb as root on the new server connection and it responded with adbd cannot run as root in production builds when I ran adb root after connecting so I had to run various shell commands with sushell to get there.

I can connect from my Windows system using WinSCP and the appropriate private key, but when I try to use ssh, I get the message indicated in the title.

Do I need to modify one or more of the files in /data/ssh to get ssh connection

Cheers, Grant
