Yes, we can confirm that problem on our side. We are working on a solution already, thank you very much for reporting!

This is a duplicate of https://forum.emteria.com/discussion/978/out-of-kernel-module-not-working-after-upgrade

What OS version are you using?
-
The system partition is patched during the update. If you have installed third-party applications to the system partitions, they will probably stop working. You may need to reinstall those packages again after the update.
-
Hey, thanks for reporting it. What hardware do you use (RPi3/4/CM), what OS version? What type of the screen do you have connected?
-
The installer file is built for Linux, not for Mac.
-
We have released the first version of Android 9 for RPi 4 to several beta users and now incorporating their feedback. Once we have a stable, updatable version, we will make it public and decide whether we want to polish other features or switch to An…
-
@Robustiano, I am sorry the OS doesn't satisfy your personal needs. We have many users with many different requirements and we are working constantly on supporting new screens and adding new features. Can you recommend a screen for our internal tests…
-
Please check preinstalled raspberry pi settings. We provide a menu entry for configuration of the audio output.
-
I assume you need no additional configuration to use it with other OSes? Do you know what resolution it supports?
-
Yes, we support multiple different GSM modems for customized boards. Using USB-Modems with RPi is also possible, but they require some additional manual configuration (sometimes on every boot).
-
Emteria supports many different resolutions. Most of them can be detected automatically. We also support many USB touchscreens out of the box. However, some hardware platforms like RPi 3 don't have enough GPU memory for high resolutions. At least in …

We have several ongoing business projects with Android 9. Last week we started shipping the beta version of Android 9 for RPi 4. Once we have a stable build, we will switch to the latest Android version.
-
@F1LT3R, after discussing your message internally I have to admit I might misunderstand your question. Are you talking about the initial screen during setup wizard or a system optimization screen after the installation is finished?
-
@F1LT3R, yes this is normal if you install CPU or memory intensive packages like OpenGApps. They are known to put the system under a heavy load, making it difficult to interact with the device. If you don't like this screen, you can disable it in emt…

I hope we could answer all your question in the email conversation. Please don't hesitate to ask, if you need more information.

It was confirmed to be a bug on our side. Temporary solution provided, our developers will make sure to fix the problem on our website. I am very sorry for the invonvenience.

@Bart31, @FJEDEV the reconnect issue was introduced after upgrading to a newer kernel version on our side. It was fixed today and will be part of the next nightly build (and all release builds). @Bart31, during the update, the whole boot partition…

, I've triple-checked this on my device and the re-connection went smoothly without any issues. Did you check the Logcat for errors? Android has a built-in network scoring, so maybe there is something wrong with the connection itself.
-
Hi , the automated setup is not finished yet - we are still working on some details, as it isn't as trivial as we hoped it would be. We will try to prioritize this issue to get progress into it soon. For now you can simply create a single "final…

https://forum.emteria.com/discussion/comment/4380#Comment_4380 You are right, I've removed the Mac Installer from the download section until we fix it. Sorry.
-
No, I don't think so, sorry.
-
, sorry, I don't quite understand. Why would you need to contact ELO or Fujitsu? If you need to know which module is responsible, you can check it with Raspbian.
-
Awesome, thank you for the explanation! I think it is very helpful for many users.

This is a known issue: https://about.emteria.com/index.php/knowledgebase/raspberry-pi-3-model-b/#known-issues

> @BasicItStuff said: > 32bit might be the problem? Can you explain why you have windows 10 32 bit? Seems strange to me Yes, this might be the problem.
-
I'm glad to hear it worked.

Windows is pretty bad at recognizing Linux partitions, so I wouldn't trust what you see there. Our installer has a built-in partition validation and if it doesn't throw an error the writing process is probably fine. I would recommend you using a diff…

Hey guys and sorry for the delayed response. We do monitor the forum and we do also update our software, but Mac users have been a minority so far, many of which had a possibility to use a different PC for emteria installation. We understand that …

Android on RPi 3 doesn't perform well on big screens. Maybe it will get better once our support for RPi 4 is ready.
-
What screen are you using? What resolution do you see in the settings? Which one do would you like to have?
-
Hi Staszek, This article is outdated and shouldn't be used. We do not recommend this type of changes anymore, as it often leads to a broken installation. What are you trying to achieve?
-
1. Yes 2. Resolution list in setting is automatically generated based on EDID information from your display. If your display doesn't provide other modes, we cannot use them. If you wan to enforce something, you can try switching to FKMS overlay in c…

Our support for mac ist quite bad, sorry. Do you have a chance to use a different OS?
-
What links? We don't provide direct links to images.
-
Can also happen with slow sdcards.
-
Do you have any third-party packages installed?
-
Your application has to be set directBootAware with some additional configs. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40075128/android-usb-device-attached-persistent-permission

Keto is a RPi 3B-based board with some additional hardware addons. Reinstalling keto-specific would allow you to reactivate the board with the same license. Unfortunately, there is no way to change the attached hardware after license activation, b…

@peterkummer, @Anderson: I think I found the issue. We will have to double-check it internally, but it looks like it is a bug in our code. In this case we will fix it in the next release. Thank you very much for reporting and providing the required i…

@mattster98: Your dashboard says that your license was initially used for a hardware of type "keto", but now you are trying to activate it for a normal "rpi3", which doesn't match your original configuration. Why did you change the target hardware sp…

Got your reports. Will report after evaluation.
-
I think this issue is similar to https://forum.emteria.com/discussion/914/reactivation#latest so lets continue the discussion there.
-
This is very weird, as there are no errors in the log - after the first reboot. The license data is OK. Is it possible to submit a bug report after the second reboot now? We need to find out when exactly this is happening.
-
I'll check the bugreport and let you know.
-
Seem that we have another open discussion for this issue. Let's continue there: https://forum.emteria.com/discussion/914/reactivation#latest
-
We can provide you with the required information about our servers, but we still have to fix the issue, as other customers might be affected too. Is it possible for you to activate a device normally and submit a bugreport (see Settings -> Emter…
