Italian physical keyboard

edited June 2018 in Supported devices

Hi! I successfully installed emteriaOS in my raspberry. I connected an USB physical keyboard but when i press ALT+GR and the @ key it doesn't show nothing. If i press shift and key 2 (if i remember well) it shows @.
How can I setup my keyboard? It's italian in settings.

Thanks!

  • I have the same problem, but I have not given it any weight so far. Survive even without.
However, I follow the post if the problem can be solved.

  • There is a difference between the software keyboard (you see on the screen) and the physical keyboard. If you have a physical keyboard attached, you need to configure it accordingly. I don't have a test device at the moment (for emteria-specific steps), but you can try following this tutorial: https://www.trishtech.com/2014/09/change-physical-keyboard-layout-in-android/

Thanks also to me, as soon as I have a minute I also do tests.
I had missed that item in the menu...

The menu is slightly different, but the items are the same.
As soon as I entered the menu I reluctantly realized that it was already set in Italian.
To solve the problem I set the keyboard layout to another language, confirmed the entry and reset it to Italian.
    It now works perfectly.
I tested on beta 5.18 and it works.
