Raspberry Pi 4 In Car Entertainment Unit
Hi everyone!
I've stumbled on Emteria today in my quest for making a standalone android system for my ancient Renault Clio MK3.
I've given OpenAuto Pro a whirl and really like it, although I want to be able to use the unit without having to tether my phone.
My plan is to Use a Pi 4 with the official 7" touchscreen and mount some HATs to provide some of the features required to use this device in my car such as:
HAT - GPS
HAT - Audio out
USB - Mic
USB - mobile data via sim card
My uses would need to include
Spotify, YouTube and other media apps
Local Music
Calls
Google Maps/ map alternative
'OK Google' voice control
Has anyone tried something similar?
Thanks
Craig

Hi! Any updates on this? I am trying something similar.
I am very unexperienced with this, but I order some stuff online hopping to make it work.
My option A would be using the BU-353S4 GPS mouse + the usbgps4droid.apk and provide internet ocasionaly with my phone's hotspot.
Option B would be using the Carlinkit.
