Raspberry Pi 4 Bluetooth USB Dongle

We would like to use an external bluetooth USB dongle for the Raspberry Pi 4 running emteria v14.4.0. Do you know if this possible? Anyone could recommend a compatible model?
The main reason is that Raspberry Pi 4 internal bluetooth is reported to have a very limited range and we need extra range for our business case.

    Android is really bad at supporting different peripherals of the same type. Since our community images are configured to use the on-board BT, I think connecting external dongles won't work until the Android OS itself was modified. We can discuss creating a dedicated OS build for your business case.
