Raspberry Pi 5 Fan Control (How to enable it)

edited March 22 in OS features

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 5 (Emteria Android image 15.2.0) with a cooling fan.
The fan works fine with a Raspberry Pi 5 Operating System but does only comes on at boot, for a short while, with Emteria.
The default is to come on a 50 degrees C but I can see it reach 70 and nothing happens.
I noticed there seems to be no overlay in config.txt that is fan/temperature related.
Whats needs doing to get the fan to work?

  • No one got a clue?

  • Update. After having been told by Emteria that they do not offer out of the box support for cooling fans, this is incorrect. A lsmod command shows that there is a pwm_fan Kernel Module loaded and that the Fan does indeed work and kicks in at about 60 degrees C.
