I've seen a lot of threads today regarding installation failure
I'm seeing installation failure as well. Despite threads claiming issues have been resolved.
Installer platform: Win64
Target:
rpi3
Version 0.4.6
Branch: aosp-7.1
release: 01.12.2017
Software downloads to installation program, then writes to known good SD card (SD card works with Raspbian). System attempts to boot, but halts at "starting kernel" message.
Is there a new release coming soon? Is it possible to get the installer to download and write an older release?

Attempted on second SD card. Same results.
Hi Andrew, those threads were dealing with the download issue, which has been resolved. In you case it is the system itself, which refuses to boot. We are not aware of common problems which might lead to this behavior. Do you see any other boot messages on the screen?
Here's what I'm getting:
What kind of display is that? Try using HDMI.
It is HDMI.
@Andrew, it can happen, if emteria.OS fails to detect the supported resolution. This can have several different reasons. If you know which resolution is supported, please try to set it manually and disable auto-detect. It should solve your problem. See this thread for instructions: https://forum.emteria.com/discussion/99/emteria-android-on-rasppi3-with-makibes-7-1024x600-screen#latest
Please rename this topic to something screen-related, as I will move it into the correct category. If you wish, you can simply create a new thread and we will close this topic, since it is not installation-related.
