I don't know how to answer this question. The emteria.OS itself has no GApps-specific limitations. The main problem is created by GApps itself - they are killing the system performance due to their high memory consumption and huge I/O load. It would be great to switch from SD card to eMMC or similar.
We don't plan on providing official support for GApps in the near future. However, other users reported that the system load reduces significantly after a day or two, probably after all the data is downloaded and installed.
