Radio Interference Layer (RIL) driver for Quectel LTE Module
I am trying to add this driver to Emteria OS for LTE/SMS/Voice calling, but I need to edit init.rc to start the daemon service. I did so by adb shell, but it was reconfigured by the recovery image. Being relatively new to this sort of tinkering I am not sure how to extract init.rc from the boot partition, or even if it can be done on Emteria. The solutions I found online were for Android phones, and didn't work for me. I may try a startup script to edit init.rc on boot, but that isn't ideal. Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated.

What tutorial are you using? Can you post here the changes you are trying to add?
I am connecting some hardware via USB, and after some further digging I may just need to configure the VID/PID correctly. Hopefully then it will work with the prepackaged usb-serial, ppp, and gps drivers. I will update this thread once I find a solution.
