USB device doesn't work if inserted before power up

I am using Emteria with a USB dongle that talks to another device. If the dongle is plugged in when Emteria is started, it is not detected by the application. If you unplug it and plug it back in, it works fine. The dongle beeps when first plugged in and beeps several times during the boot up if it's already in there.

Hoping to figure out how I can avoid having to mess with this device to get it working again when it reboots or unexpectedly loses power.

    Your application has to be set directBootAware with some additional configs. See https://stackoverflow.com/questions/40075128/android-usb-device-attached-persistent-permission
