USB joystick board

edited January 2022 in Supported devices

Hi all, I got a custom USB joystick board working on my PC but when I tried to get it working on the RPi4 it didn't work as expected. Is there any way to get it working or will I need to use Raspberry Pi's custom gpio board? Is there any app or something I can install to get the joystick working? I have read about USB OTG. Would a USBOTG cable work with emteria?

  • I would like to update this. I have managed to update the config.txt and cmdline.txt files but I still couldn't get the USB joystick board working. I plugged it into a usb hub which had power and was plugged into the usb c port of the rpi. If anyone has any idea how I can get my usb joystick board working please let me know.

  • I would like to update this again now. I got the joystick board working with limited functionality by plugging it into the standard USB port. Although more than half of the output signals are not recognised, there are enough for out project. This can be closed now.
