RPI Hardware Watchdog

I have Emteria running on a Rpi3 with the standard touchscreen. Now sometimes this crashes when I play videos in VLC, after a while. Of course, this kind of thing can happen. My question is does Emteria support the RPI HW watchdog. I was looking here about it.

I see there is a /sbin/watchdogd, not sure if the same thing or how to configure it.

Anyone tried this, or got this working?

    @simpz That's an interesting question, but there is only one way to find out: trying it out. Following the tutorial unfortunately won't work as it uses systemctl which isn't present, but in principle setting up a watchdog should be possible. Let us know if you make it work :)
