deep sleep on raspberry pi 4?

Hello guys

Is there something like a deep sleep or standby on raspberry pi?

Reason: want to use it as a car PC but booting it every time I start my car will take to much time, but without one of these options it will pull my battery empty in no time.

Thanks in Advance for any feedback.

  • Hi @theunknown ,
I think you should physically disconnect the RPi, or only have it powered when you ignition is on.
Our usual industrial use-case are 24/7 devices. Although we can disable the screen after some time, there is no real deep sleep, so the RPi4 might drain your battery after some time.
