SIM7600X 4G HAT

Hi all,

We're trying to use an SIM7600X 4G HAT in order to provide our Raspberry PI 5 Internet connectivity through it but it doesn't work. In Settings > Networks and Internet you can see "Calls and SMS: No SIM card" and we've just checked that the hat in working (red NET LED is blinking quickly) and we've got to connect it to Internet through the USB interface and use this connection in a Windows PC.

Please, any help with this? Many thanks in advance,

Dani.

  • Hi, I am using the SIM7670G for the exact same purpose on my Raspberry pi 5 and having a very similar issue. I am able to get it to work on my windows machine with no issues but unable to get it to work on my Pi. Just commenting to come back later

  • Hi Ray, in fact; we're able to get Internet in Windows; not in Raspberry PI 5:

If u follow the manufacturer spec to setup in a Raspberry, it doesn't work; I put the steps:

Note that I've had to type manually the steps for the sim7600_4G_hat_init due to we're not able to change permissions for the file (we'd be supposed to due to we're in sushell) but in the end it doesn't works (seems like not recognizing GPIO 4 pin).

    Any help is welcome.
