Kiosk Web Launcher - Virtual keyboard hides input controls

We're using the kiosk web launcher mode and when tapping on textboxes in the bottom part of the screen, the virtual keyboard hides the textbox. I know that in Chrome the window automatically scrolls and in the "WebView Browser Tester" app it does the same. However the "Browser" app exhibits the same behaviour as the kiosk web launcher. Is there a "built in" way of having the browser window scroll to ensure input controls aren't hidden, or will I have to resort to either Javascript or building a shell app?

Thanks.

  • Forgot to add - I'm using the latest version of Emteria.OS on a Raspberry Pi 4.

  • @SDServo, thank you very much for reporting this behavior. Do you have an example (public) website where we could reproduce this behavior?

    Thanks for your reply.

As requested, I've created the following example webpage which shows the issue - https://test.fusedigital.uk/test.html

I've also recorded a video showing the issue in action which can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CyyvVwu0pVs

  • Hi @SDServo ,
Thank you very much. Your post makes it very clear and I was able to reproduce the behaviour. Unfortunately, I haven't found the cause, yet. But I will give it another shot next week.

    That's much appreciated. Thank you.

  • Hi @SDServo ,
It took some time, but we figured it out. Can you try nightly v11.5.13, if it also worked for you?
