Waveshare 8-DSI-TOUCH-A Support
I read through other posts from across the years, and this seems to be an ongoing issue, but I thought I'd ask for this specific screen. My handheld project for remote gaming is working on the Pi 5, Android 15 version of Emteria (was using a HDMI non-touchscreen for testing). The only issue is the 8-inch DSI touchscreen I bought (and need for the project to work like a Lenovo Legion Go) before trying Emteria. It worked for PiOS before I realized I needed a different OS. Long story short, is there any development on creating drivers or configurations for allowing Emteria to recognize the Waveshare screens?
This is the one I got: https://www.waveshare.com/8-dsi-touch-a.htm

@kmfulmer100 if there are kernel modules missing, you can create a pull request in our kernel repo: https://github.com/emteria/kernel_brcm_rpi
The config changes can be added to config-overrides.txt on the boot partition, but if you have to adjust the cmdline.txt those changes are not persistent and will be overwritten on an OTA
